DTM : You were one of the first band to play this year, how do you feel after your show ?
Timo Somers : we feel wonderful, i think the turn up was pretty good considering playing this early, and it started raining just after,
Charlotte Wessels : we had just woken up so we were happy pepol were waking up xxxx
DTM : What reception Delain get by the french public ?
Charlotte Wessels : i think it was good, as i said tought they were sleepy but they were not they were active
DTM : Do you have another album or dvd live in preparation ?
Charlotte Wessels : both yes, a new album will be coming in august and dvd will be filming for our 10th anniversery next december, so that would be out next year.
DTM : You have many songs with marco hielata, how did you get the idea to work with him ?
Charlotte Wessels : i already know him before we even had the song from lucidity, and he had quite a few song on lucidty, and after that he remained a very welcome guest.
DTM : Where do you get your inspiration for the text ?
Charlotte Wessels : it depends sometime it came from book or art book, or everyday experiences.
DTM : How do you feel singing on stage ?
Charlotte Wessels : Wonderful, it’s one of my favorite thing to do.
DTM : Do you have another duo in mind, or someone you would like to work with ?
Charlotte Wessels : Yes…I cannont say, i could ..but yes there are more vocal appareances coming up in a very near future
DTM : What can you say about the sucess the band get over the years ?
Timo somers : Amazing ( Rire )
Charlotte Wessels : other than that… no i think in the industry when we look at how many bands actualy do this full time and travel the world it is not easy and it require a lot of effort and patience and dedication, but then there are still a lof of band that dont get the success that we do, so were are really great for that. and yes i’m very humble by the fact that people still like us, buy the records, go to our shows.
DTM : What are your musical influences ?
Timo Somers : I listen a lot of funk, and blue also metal, so i think we kinda combine all this stuff..
Charlotte Wessels : i listen a lot of classic rock, like one thing you never get rid of it, kate bush is one of my favorite
