THE ANSWER & THE DEAD DAISIES @ LE TRABENDO / PARIS, 08/12/2016

On this 8th of December I’ve been at the Trabendo in Paris for my last show of the year 2016 : The Dead Daisies & The Answer. I didn’t know the first band, but I was very happy to see again The Answer, which I discover at the Hellfest in 2015.

At our arrival at the room, we noticed that the audience was numerous in the pit. It was hard to get a way to take place, and unfortunately for the photographers, the access was much harder. Despite this, the evening went well.

The Dead Daisies, to the best of their form, opened the show around 8 :00 PM. They were there to present their new album “Make Some Noise” released during this last summer, and realized by Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Mötley Crûe…), Success was at the rendez-vous.

Doug Aldrich arrives on stage and gives the tone since the beginning of the show. He’s soon followed by John, Marco, Brian and Davis who will set the fire with the first title : “Long Way To Go”. The audience is very reactive to the music, Doug’s guitar game is perfect. 12 songs for the setlist, including 4 covers of legendary songs from rock band such as The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles & The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. John Corabi was a perfect singer, accompanied in chorus by the crowd on legendary AC/DC song “Highway To Hell”.

Stage games between Marco & Davy, not to forget Doug & John were outstanding. We also notice the energy of Brian, the drummer, especially on a majestic drum solo, ending with a stick launch. Sticks which were attached together in order to not lose them.  An energy and a strength to absolutely see.

Marco, the bass player was frequently turning on itself, with his green bass. I ask myself how he was doing to not have any vertigo, while keeping smiling all the show.

John, the singer, impressed us by his presence, and his voice remaining Aerosmith. A real pleasure to listen to.

During the whole show, the unlished musicians never ceased to throw plectres on the audience, which was very quick to catch them. It was very funny to see this game between the band and its fans.

The show ends now for The Dead Daisies, with a good Hard Rock which impassioned the Trabendo, on a last song requested by the audience : Midnight Roses, amazing.

Time has come now to welcome The Answer, seen for the first time on mainstage at Hellfest in 2015.

The band plays Hard Rock and Blues Rock, a nice mix for this well started event.

Cormaac Neelson sets the tone at the very first song with his ‘70s voice style. What a happiness! The audience is bewitched by the voice and the charisma of Cormaac.  Song are coming one after another, the crowd is hypnotized by this sweet music with a Hard Rock side. A real pleasure to listen to.

Paul, the guitarist, played perfectly. With its music, The Answer drove us back into the ‘70s, in the universe of amazing bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Who…

Our dear Irish gave us a perfect show, and the audience was present with the fans singing. After more than an hour of a simple but effective without any artifice show, the concert ended with a very appreciated salute.

The Who , Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles & The Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
