SPV/Steamhammer set a sign with THE SIGN!

THE SIGN

Ossy Pfeiffer, Steve Mann and Anca Graterol launch new band

Debut album out in April 2017

If this isn’t a statement! The Sign, the new band surrounding vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Ossy Pfeiffer, guitarist/vocalist Anca Graterol (Rosy Vista) and former MSG/The Sweet guitarist Steve Mann, have signed with Steamhammer/SPV. The group also includes Lars Lehmann, renowned as a studio bassist with British rock legend UFO and member of ex-Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth’s band, as well as percussionist Momme Boe and drummer Kristof Hinz, who has just finished the drum takes for the new Eloy album. The arrival of The Sign’s debut album has been announced for April 2017 and the first download single ´A Line To Cross` will already be out at the beginning of December. Another track is scheduled for release in next February. Fans can look forward to an album featuring that timeless kind of classic rock that’s currently so successful worldwide.

« For us as musicians who have close ties with this city, the Hanover label Steamhammer/SPV was of course our number one choice, » admits Ossy Pfeiffer. « We’ve known Olly Hahn and the label for more than twenty years and value their expertise and reliability. In addition, this collaboration guarantees direct communication and quick decisions, the way that Steve has been used to with MSG/The Sweet and Lars with UFO and Uli Jon Roth. Our cooperation feels really good. »

Olly Hahn, in charge of A&R at Steamhammer, is delighted about his latest signing: « Ossy Pfeiffer and the The Sign musicians have made all the right decisions from the very start. There’s an very trustful relationship between the band and Steamhammer on which we can build a successful cooperation. »
